As the Israelites leave Egypt God's provision and guidance are demonstrated through the Passover and we remember His provision and guidance today.
Passover is about Yahweh setting his people free so they can serve and worship Him, and about remembering and celebrating that freedom as we look forward to the future full coming of His Kingdom.
The plagues sent upon Egypt are God's answer to Pharaoh's question "Who is Yahweh, that I should obey him?" They are as much to wake God's people from their sleep as they are to demonstrate his power to their overlords.
This is about Pharaoh's defiance, the Israelites' ingratitude, Moses' trust and obedience and God's grace as he makes clear to us who He is.
