KV Kids

Children are full members of our church and we passionately desire that KV Kids is a highlight of the week for every child.

At each service, the KV Kids leaders are committed to fostering the children’s growing relationship with God by teaching them the four core values of KV: worship, word, works and wonders.

What to Expect

After a time of worship together with the whole congregation, KV Kids are released to their own space, led by trained kids’ workers to engage with a Bible story that connects with the preaching series of the church and worship songs.  In an age-appropriate way, the children are encouraged to learn the Bible with a tactile emphasis through the five senses.  They spend time in connection with the Holy Spirit through through prayer and sharing any words or pictures they may receive through drawing, writing, or talking. A craft is incorporated to tie together the experience of the day, along with a small take-home card for parents to highlight what they learned and suggest questions that might spark further conversation at home.

OUR VISION

Our vision is for children to grow in their relationship with Jesus and in their friendships with one another, experiencing God’s love for them and the gifts He gives them, seeing Him at work in their lives, everyday.

OUR VALUES

At KV Kids we value celebrating a sense of adventure and enthusiasm: our children are allowed to be children. We expect to experience God’s love and power in KV Kids, because it is church for kids, not childcare. We laugh a lot, play games, are creative and have heaps of fun. We read the Bible, we pray together and we listen and respond to God’s Holy Spirit. We love and value everyone who comes to KV Kids. We worship Jesus in song and are learning to worship Him with our whole lives.

SAFETY

At all times the children’s safety and well-being are paramount, and to this end all team members have to be cleared through Disclosure Scotland and adhere to our Child Protection Policy.
