Gospel of Luke

Repentance: Come as You Are but Don't Stay as You Are

luke 3:1-20

John the Baptist preaches the good news of Jesus' arrival, but not in the way we're necessarily used to these days. The classic phrase "come as you are but don't stay as you are" helps us understand what John is speaking about here and challenges us to come back to God and recommit ourselves to doing what He's saying to us today.

God Faithfully Saves and God Faithfully Sends

Luke 1:67-80

God is faithful to save His people. He raises us up from sitting in the shadow of death and into His light. He then sends us out with life-giving purpose, to serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness. What does that mean and what might all that look like for us today?
